I spent 20 years in the military and [10] of those years were overseas. You see, this was not a paid advertisement.

I thought that I had missed out on the housing market and couldn't affort to buy a home. Especially, since getting out of the service in 1992 and being an unemployed Mr. Mom for all these years. Not to mention, a home purchase was out of the question while traveling in the military.

This is where I got the ideal for the on-line business card for my realtor friend. I am currently marketing this idea to other lawyers and real estate agents. It's very functionable.

We were forced to file for bankrucpty 2 years ago. I had made up my mind that I had missed the boat and couldn't affort to purchase a home in this area. However, my friend who had become a realtor tried to get me to purchase a home for the past 3 years. Then one day about 2 months ago my father, who is a retired CPA, said to me that we should look for a home.

We will sign the closing papers on our new home tonight. It will be our 1st. home since being married some 16 years ago. We will also be paying the same amount on the mortage as we were for the rent!

I am the Webmaster for the on-line business card who posted the ad to the newsgroup without the realtors knowledge. I looked in the Dejanews service for a better newsgroup "seattle homes forsale", but was unable to find the approiate group?

My realtor friend has stacks and stacks of letters of praise from satisified customers on his desk. I hope to post them to the web soon. Even my next door neighbors, who are prior miltiary and whom I met while walking my children to the bus stop some 2 years ago, will be in a new home by the end of the month.

Several folks who purchased a home from my friend often turn down the referral fee and are just glad to help out their friends. I wouldn't have know this had we not been friends.

Since our new home was started it has gone up $10,000 in value before it has even been completed. It will most likely go up another $10,000 to $15,000 before the years end. In addition, there are several new government sponsored programs for buyers that you may want to inquire about.

I have learned to keep an open mind over the years and had it not been for friendship and timing, perhaps my 2 young daughters would never have had a place to call home.
